Experienced Personnel

IMS’ staff has extensive managerial and technical experience with PeopleSoft Student implementations at higher education institutions. We have five years of intense PeopleSoft Student experience in higher education where we have been first in the country in implementing certain versions and modules.

While working with the Claremont Graduate University on their PeopleSoft Student implementation, we were the first university in the country to successfully upgrade to PeopleSoft Student version 7.5. We were also, while with Claremont Graduate University (CGU), the first school to implement PeopleSoft’s web portal, story that was featured on PeopleSoft website’s home page (The portal at CGU has been put on hold since the school is part of a consortium of colleges and they are moving to a unified portal).

At Houston Community College we fully developed the “Navigator” capability to significantly simplify navigation and training as well as the On Line Library to provide context-sensitive help. We also implemented HTML Access, PeopleSoft’s self-service Web module. This implementation was the largest at that time for web registration and student self-service and was a leader in credit card payment volumes for universities using PeopleSoft over the web.

IMS developed an archiving solution for the PeopleSoft Student environment for Houston Community College where inactive and historical student data was stored with the ability to reactivate a student upon their return, thus moving them back to the PeopleSoft production database.

IMS has also developed a close working relationship with PeopleSoft Help Desk Leads due to close collaboration during implementations. Also, several technical issues that IMS solved during the implementation process were later confirmed as appropriate solutions by PeopleSoft.

IMS has also been assigned post-implementation tasks and provided training on specific technical areas such as the process of applying PeopleSoft patches to the student database. We have also been retained by clients as troubleshooters and on-site project managers for the student application as well as the web portion of the application. Two thirds of our project managers hold Ph.D.s, and several of our project managers have years of experience as university administrators.

IMS’ experience includes implementations at similar small, private higher education institutions like the Claremont Graduate University (2000 students) and Keck Graduate Institute (50 students).
